I made a quick visit again this year to Monas for the Balinese Hindu ritual ogoh-ogoh parade.  Ogoh-ogoh are demonic statues made of bamboo and paper symbolizing negative elements or malevolent spirits, and after the ogoh-ogoh have been paraded around the Ngrupuk ritual takes place, which involves burning the ogoh-ogoh.  This event is held annually […] Read more »
